A teenage make of the Cosmopolitan Magazine, the CosmoGirl Magazine was mainly designed and launched with the main purpose of attracting a larger number of teenage girl readers. The magazine has been one of the cheesiest magazines till date and has been covering nearly every type of topic that you can come up with.
CosmoGirl was basically an American make which was based back in New York city since its publication in the year 1999, until its closure in 2008. The magazine soon became the hot favorite of a large number of young girls across the country for its interesting and appealing topics. From fashion to celebrities, the magazine had it all in it that every reader was interested in.
The magazine usually included interviews of celebrities with their appealing photo shoots, a health and a beauty section (hair, skin, make up tips, clothing trends, accessories, etc.) for all people looking out for various ways to enhance their looks. The magazine also included a fashion segment that gave you all small and large details about the fashion world. You could also read the body & health section that described all the important nutrition and health regimes.
Well, before wrapping up, the magazine would publish about ten issues a year, which was later believed to reach a wider audience of about eight million young readers across the country. The last issue of the magazine was published for December – January 2008.
Tracking back to its launching, the magazine was basically pioneered by Atoosa Rubenstein, who was most primarily asked to make a mock issue. Atoosa Rubenstein was later replaced by Ann Shoket, who was later known to be the editor-in-chief of the Hearst Magazine, Seventeen. Before being wrapped up, the magazine has Susan Schulz as its editor in chief.
